I am an experienced qualified counsellor, with a friendly, empathetic nature. I like to work relationally with each client, getting to know them and their unique needs.
I use an integrative counselling approach, which means I can tailor sessions according to each individual, drawing on different counselling modalities to make therapy as effective as possible.
I enjoy a collaborative approach, aiming to establish rapport and trust. Sharing personal information can leave clients feeling vulnerable. Therefore, an honest and supportive environment is important.
As a Christian, I happily work with people of all faiths or none, exploring areas of spirituality if desired.
I have a B.A. (Hons) in Counselling.
Attained from Waverley Abbey College, Farnham.
I also achieved my Counselling Diploma at Waverley.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework. I am also a member of The Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC).
Although I counsel clients for any number of reasons, I have particular experience in helping clients who have experienced interpersonal trauma/abuse, relational difficulties and loss/bereavement.
