Privacy Policy

I take your privacy seriously, and I only collect what I need. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what I do with it.

Who I am

This website is owned and run by Elizabeth Williams, a sole trader, trading as Libby Williams Counselling and Libby Williams Designs. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

What this policy covers

This policy covers the website and the shop. If you become a counselling client, I’ll give you separate information about how your records are kept.

If you send me a message

The contact form asks for your name, your email address and your message. I use these only to reply to you. Your message is delivered to my email inbox, which is provided by Microsoft Outlook, and isn’t stored on the website.

Anything you share in your message is treated in confidence. I keep enquiries for up to 12 months and then delete them, unless you become a client.

If you buy from the shop

To send your order, I need your name, email address and delivery address, and a record of what you bought. I keep order records for six years, as required for tax purposes.

• Payment. Card payments are handled securely by WooPayments. I never see or store your card details.
• Printing and delivery. Most items are printed and posted by my print partner, Prodigi. I share your name and delivery address with them, and with the delivery company, only so your order can reach you.

Emails from me

I will only send you news if you ask me to. If you choose to join my mailing list, I may send occasional emails about new paintings, resources and training dates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies and visitor numbers

When you first visit, a banner lets you choose which cookies you’re happy with. Some are needed for the site and the shop cart to work. Others help me see how many people visit and which pages they look at, using Jetpack. These don’t tell me who you are.

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to keep out spam.

Who else handles your information

I never sell your information or pass it on for marketing. It is only handled by the companies that help me run the website: Bluehost (hosting), Automattic (the shop software and Jetpack), WooPayments, Prodigi, Google, Microsoft and CookieYes. Some of these are based outside the UK, and they are required to protect your information to the same standard.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to show you the information I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Just contact me and I’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
